Royal Parks Half Marathon
I am 10 days from my first half marathon, half my goal, all within 7 months but yet again my knee is acting up. It is my age old injury, the medial collateral ligament on the left knee. It used to be bad all the time, it used to swell to the point of separating the joint and I would be in agony.
Now, after all the running and strength training it just feels uncomfortable. I therefore decided not to workout tonight and to rest until Sunday. This will rest me up. I can then maybe go for a slow jog in the mid-week. Worst case (or the worst acceptable case – the actual worst case it being too injured to do the half), I rest until the race and run with it strapped if need be.
