Swimming kit for before and after – I love staying in a hotel with a decent pool

All I need to do is be fit and healthy enough to run. Recently I have been under the weather, maybe I had a cold leading up to the Royal Parks half on the 7th, 11 days ago, and that then took a lot out of me. A knee injury that happened after the race, and not at all when I was running, has persisted and stopped my only post race run. So effectively I have run 6K since the last half I ran.

Fortunately I have a whole month before my next 10K, the Movember Greenwich Park 10, and I have Physiotherapy and gait and running analysis and performance improvement starting on the 1st November.

All I want to do in Amsterdam is finish. I know that sounds trite, but it is true. I would be trying for a sub 2:09 (my first half time) finish, and a sub 2 hour finish on top of that, but realistically, the knee is a complex bastard, and if it goes it goes, so… if I finish I just want to be in a position where nothing permanent or serious is done to it. Sorry, not if I finish, when I finish.
