Last long run before the Royal Parks half marathon and I am a happy chappie. After a rough night sleep where I was bolt upright and awake at 4am, I managed a nice easy 12K run without any trouble in a time that would mean my target of a sub 2 hour 15 minute half marathon is achievable.
And, on top of that, I won these in a Twitter contest. They are made by Science in Sport and used by the pros. Hopefully they will fit in the Camelbak belt. I shall review them once I get here.
I also went on a little bit of a spree again and bought.
In no particular order:
- A cool running themed Christmas decoration
- the thickest Injinji socks – these are medium weight
- A K-Swiss running shirt
- Adidas compression shorts
- Nike Air Rift split toe running shoes – to see if they help
I am thinking I will wear the white singlet over my black compression short sleeved shirt, and the white compression leggings under my black shorts, with those socks and one of my many pairs of shoes in the race.
